Terms of Use

These terms are between you and QuestMaxx, and cover the QuestMaxx iPhone app and this website. By using the app you agree to them. Our Privacy page explains what we do with your data.

Who can use it

You must be 16 or over. If you're under 18, some features work differently to protect you.

Community rules

We have zero tolerance for abusive, sexual, hateful or illegal content, harassment, or content involving anyone who hasn't agreed to be photographed.

That covers photos, display names, group names and anything else you put in the app. Don't photograph people without their consent, and don't use QuestMaxx to bother, threaten or pressure anyone. You can block anyone, and reporting someone blocks them too. Every quest, person and Group has a Report option. We review reports within 24 hours, remove content, and remove or ban people who break these rules. Banned accounts lose access to social features.

Quest safety

  • You choose what you do. Quests are suggestions, and you decide whether one is safe for you, right now.
  • Obey the law and local rules, and respect other people and their property.
  • No quest requires you to drink alcohol. Skip any quest that makes you uncomfortable.
  • Don't put yourself or anyone else in danger for a quest, a photo, a streak or XP.

Your content

You own your photos and anything else you create. You give us the licence we need to store them and show them to the people you choose (for example friends and group-mates) so the app can work. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from reports kept for safety, as described on our Privacy page.

Subscriptions

QuestMaxx+ is £2.99 a month or £19.99 a year (or the local price shown in the App Store), auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period, and has no free trial. It's charged to your Apple ID and billed by Apple under Apple's terms. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the app. Manage or cancel in iOS Settings. Deleting your account doesn't cancel an Apple subscription.

Ending your use

You can stop at any time and delete your account in the app (Profile, then Delete account under Settings). We can suspend or remove accounts that break these terms or put others at risk.

The service, as is

We try hard to keep QuestMaxx working, but it's provided as is, and we can't promise it'll be uninterrupted or error-free. We aren't responsible for what you or others do on quests. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited, or removes consumer rights you have where you live.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. That doesn't remove consumer protections that apply where you live.
